Catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) is the most common nosocomial infection, accounting for more than 40% of all hospital infections and over 1 million hospitals in the United States each year. More than half of patients with indwelling catheterization for more than 5d or 5d will have bacterial urine or candida urine. Asymptomatic catheter related urine containing hospital (especially intensive care unit)
