使用防盗监测仪,人为地限制了读者与藏书的接触,实质上体现了“不文明服务”的陈规陋习,严重地影响到藏书的利用。就控制原理讲,是一种不必要的行为。经济上也造成很大的浪费。所以,开架书库不应使用防盗监测仪。改革开放以来,“开发和利用文献信息资源,提高服务质量”已成为图书馆界的共识,开架借阅逐步扩大,深受社会好评。但是,由于传统观念的束缚,许多图书馆开架外借仅仅是馆藏的一小部分,而且这一小部分开架书库大多安有防盗监测仪,把一个阅读外借图书的书库变成一个壁垒森严的机关重地。
