从一九五八年大跃进开始,湖北各县都办了报紙。两年多来,县报在宣传党的政策,插紅旗树标兵方面,作了很多工作,有力地促进了人民公社的巩固和生产大跃进。实践証明,一张县报,对于全县的工作,全县人民同样“有极大的組織、鼓舞、激励、批判、推动的作用”。現在县报已經成为县委指导工作、教育农民和組織人民群众生产和生活的有力武器。县报具有传达县委意图快,投递迅速,与全县群众的联系更为密切,反映全县人民生活更加具体和及时,文字通順、口語化等特点,因而更易为工农群众
From the Great Leap Forward in 1958, all counties in Hubei Province had run newspapers. Over the past two years, the county newspaper has done a lot of work in propaganda of the party’s policies and in the recruitment of red flag tree pacesetters, and has effectively promoted the consolidation of the people’s commune and the great leap forward in production. Practice has proved that a county newspaper, for the work of the county, the county people also have “great organizational, encouraging, stimulating, critical and promoting role.” County magistrate now has become a powerful weapon for the county Party committee to guide the work, educate farmers and organize people’s production and life. County newspaper has the intent to convey the county, fast delivery, and the county more closely linked to the masses, reflecting the county people’s lives more specific and timely, fluent in writing, colloquial and so on, and therefore more easily for the workers and peasants
