A number of studies have found that a bad tooth increases the risk of heart disease. A new British study reveals the association between brushing habits and heart disease. People who brush their teeth twice a day are less at risk of heart disease than those who do not pay attention to oral hygiene. Early studies found that poor oral hygiene and bleeding gums can cause more than 700 kinds of bacteria into the blood system, regardless of whether a person’s health, its risk of heart disease will greatly increase. Bacteria that enter the blood can stimulate the immune system, causing narrowing of the walls of blood vessels, or adhering directly to fatty deposits in blood vessels, further blocking blood vessels.
