油桐是我县主要的经济林木,全县现有桐林面积约13万亩,八年平均产籽千万斤以上。道真位于北纬28°37′～29°13′,东经107°22′至107°51′之间,属亚热带湿润季风气候区。年平均温度15℃至16℃,年降雨量1050毫米,日照时数1078小时,无霜期270～280天,是我省油桐重点产区之一。为了摸清家底,收集物种资源,在1979年10月至1982年10月,我县林业局与粮食局以及有关区林业站的同志,密切配合,比较全面地开展了油桐农家品种(类型)的调查工作。现将调查情况简述于后。
