北太湖石产于北京房山,因与太湖石相似而受宠于北京地区的园林之中。然而,因为资源有限,在古代园林中大量可见的北太湖石,今日在公园中却十分鲜见。北京皇家园林每个园林都用此石,尤以乾隆花园、北海、颐和园运用最为广泛。本文通过京城古典园林的假山石景点分析,描绘出一幅北太湖石在京的分布图和运用图。北太湖石的使用,以堆石为主,缘石为辅,供石较少。
North Taihu stone production in Beijing Fangshan, due to the similarities with the Taihu Lake favored gardens in Beijing. However, due to limited resources, the large number of North Taihu stones visible in ancient gardens are rare in the park today. Beijing imperial garden each with this stone garden, especially in Qianlong Garden, the North Sea, Summer Palace, the most widely used.
