《边城》是诠释爱的,祖孙之爱、男女之爱、兄弟之爱、父子之爱、友朋之爱、乡邻之爱、乡土之爱组合成的人伦社会之爱。《边城》是要阐释美的,自然之美、人物形神之美、人事之美、人情之美、人性之美,还包括作品本身结构行文的诗性的美,无处不美。而这爱和美的背后无疑暗伏着一种缺憾,一是作者要描画的人生、社会本身的缺憾,比如“美丽的都不容易长存”的凄凉的
“Border Town” is the love of human relations society, which is a combination of love, love of grandparents, love of men and women, love of brothers, love of sons and daughters, love of friends and relatives, love of neighbors, and love of natives. “Border Town” is to explain the beauty of beauty, beauty of nature, the beauty of human form, the beauty of human affairs, the beauty of human beings, the beauty of human nature, and the poetic beauty and ubiquity of the composition itself.
