我在北京苏联使馆工作期间,有一次,听说邓小平足骨受伤,住院治疗,尤金大使要我陪他去医院,看望邓小平。这是一间单独病房,放着一张宽大的床,立着一个考究的床头柜,上面摆着电话机和收音机。邓小平看见我们,支起身,笑着说:“大使同志,原谅我不能站起来。”尤金示意他躺着别动。他苦笑着说:“我真不走运,打台球时,不小心将脚脖子和腿骨关节给扭伤了。”
