福建省德化县是我国三大瓷都之一,早在新石器时代,德化就有硬陶,印纹陶的烧制。唐代开始制瓷,德化瓷器“白如雪,明如镜,薄如纸,声如磐”,自古以来,享誉中外。最著名的有“建白瓷”、“高白瓷”和瓷雕。八百年前意大利旅行家马可·波罗就赞誉过:“中国瓷都德化”的瓷器。经他实地考察而带回的德化瓷至今仍保存在意大利博物馆里。
Dehua County, Fujian Province, China is one of the three major porcelain, as early as the Neolithic, Dehua there pottery, pottery stamping. Tang Dynasty porcelain, Dehua porcelain “white as snow, bright as a mirror, as thin as paper, sound like pan”, since ancient times, renowned at home and abroad. The most famous are “build white porcelain”, “high white porcelain” and porcelain sculpture. Eight hundred years ago Marco Polo, an Italian traveler, praised the porcelain “Dehua of China”. Dehua porcelain brought back through his field investigation is still preserved in the Italian Museum.
