Isn’t it? The father is the only one. The daughter is the only one. Everyone is unique. Every life has its irreplaceable value and meaning. The fate of each individual is the fate of all mankind and the fate of the whole universe. . However, how does war change all of this! Babel often incorporates poetic and humorous descriptions into fierceness, while poetry and humor bring out the depth of the scourge of war and the desolation of life. Pavustowski commented on him: “This man takes the novelty we don’t have, observes and listens to our world.” “My First Goose” embodies this novelty. It is ridiculous and sad that we are eager to integrate the “spectacles” of Cossacks’ life that discriminate against “smelly intellectuals” and violate the nature of cruelly killing a goose.
