螺旋选矿机是一种簡单的选矿設备,但是也应該定期加以檢修和适当的維护。1956年2月份美国矿冶学会的討論会上,H.D.斯尼敦曾据此提出报告其內容大致为: ①每台螺旋选矿机都应該用鉛垂線来校核它的垂直度。因为偏斜会引起螺旋交替地一高一低,一增一減,不規則地送矿,同时也会反常不規律地將截取器精矿帶分离开。⑦螺旋与螺旋之間的联接必須光滑,以避免形成擾乱分选的漩渦,特別是在洗槽与螺旋的平底部分,因为这兩部分都是操作过程中的重点。

At a symposium held by the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in February 1956, H.D.
