石建华,是山西省原平市的一名退休干部,今年66岁。他曾任乡镇党委书记、市人事局局长、人大常委会副主任。退休7年来,他利用互联网开展助学活动,累计筹资420多万元,接收学习、生活用品3.6万余件,助建8个爱心图书室,受益学生达1.7万余名。他说:“助学工作使我的退休生活更加充实、更有价值。”
Shi Jianhua, a retired cadre from Yuanping City, Shanxi Province, is 66 years old this year. He served as secretary of the township party committee, director of the Municipal Personnel Bureau, deputy director of the NPC Standing Committee. After retiring seven years ago, he used the Internet to carry out student activities. He raised more than 4.2 million yuan in total and received more than 36,000 pieces of learning and daily necessities. He helped build eight love libraries and benefited over 17,000 students. He said: “Work-study helps make my retirement fuller and more valuable.”
