二十一世纪是信息技术高速发展的世纪，校园信息网络系统已成为中小学校实现教育现代化的一个重要标志，也是改革传统教育观念、教育模式与教育制度的技术与物质基础。它可以打破传统教育的时空界限，实现教育信息资源的交流与共享。但是在一些经济欠发达地区，由于种种原因，校园网建设还刚刚起步，还有许多困难与问题，如果校园网络的建设不合理或设计不科学，不但将会造成人力、物力以及财力的极大浪费，而且无法调动教师和学生运用现代信息技术进行教学活动的积极性，影响学校教育信息化的进程。因此本文从校园网基本组成与功能入手，探讨在经济欠发达地区如何经济、迅速、有效地建设校园网的一些思路与对策。
The 21st century is a century of rapid development of information technology. The campus information network system has become an important symbol of the modernization of education in primary and secondary schools. It is also the technical and material basis for the reform of traditional educational concepts, modes of education and education system.
