In 2005, Chinese-American artist Ye Lei Lei and Philadelphia-based nonprofit Philadelphia Barefoot Artist expressed her grief about genocide through two concerns: one is a mass gravel and the other is a The village where Lugollo’s survivors live. This is an on-going project that not only creates a place of memory, but also provides education, opportunities for development and views on the future of life.
