In recent months, there have been consecutive cases of child casualties in primary schools across the country. The causes of these accidents have their own objective reasons, but they are also the result of teachers’ failure to take overall responsibility for children. In the basic principle of primary teaching of the Provisional Regulations on Primary Schools (Draft), it has been clearly stipulated that in-class and out-of-class activities should be coordinated and that teachers should assume overall responsibility for the guidance of classes and extra-curricular activities. Many teachers, through their studies, have set up a comprehensive and responsible view of children and are capable of patiently and carefully educating and caring for children in and out of class so as to enable them to grow normally and healthily. However, some teachers are still not fully responsible for children. The continuous occurrence of child injuries and death accidents is revealing this issue.
