The task of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine is a challenge to contemporary pharmacologists. There is no unified understanding of the goals and methods of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. Wu Fengzhen proposed the method of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine in 1989. Over time, this idea has been The pharmacologist recognized and started research work in this area. After many years of thinking, the theoretical basis for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine was studied. It is believed that: (1) The therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine is based on crude drugs, that is, the combination of multiple ingredients. Efficacy. (2) The multiple components of traditional Chinese medicine are particularly suitable for the treatment of chronic complications of the elderly. (3) The safety of traditional Chinese medicine is due to the fact that the relative doses of multiple components and contained ingredients are low. (4) Chinese medicine Individuals have strong pertinence, different diseases, or different diseases. (5) The metabolic process that enters the body after Chinese medicine is taken is different from Western medicine, which affects the flora in the digestive tract and affects the physiological functions of the human body. (6) Traditional Chinese Medicine Contains functional nutrients such as proteins and trace elements, as well as alkaloids, flavonoids and other pharmaceutical ingredients, which are essentially between western medicine and food. Since traditional Chinese medicine has the above characteristics, the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine must maintain these specialties. The best way is to use the proposed method of unilateral medicine instead of crude drugs from the present situation, this approach is both theoretical basis, but also technically feasible in line with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine theory and Chinese herbal medicine.
