1990年2月21日,在清华大学核能技术研究所由国家教委组织召开了国家重点七·五攻关项目5MW低温堆控制棒棒位超声波测量系统及高温耐辐照全密封超声测位传感器的技术鉴定会。中国声学学会名誉理事杜连耀教授担任鉴定委员会主任委员。声学、无线电电子学、核工程、核控制仪表、计算机和力学方面的专家40余人任代表。大家仔细观看了世界上第一座用水力驱动系统驱动控制棒升降,用超声波连续测量控制棒棒位的核反应堆的运行情况,并认真听取了超声波测量系统和传感器的研究报告。
