一九八九年是有着众多纪念日的不平凡的一年:就中国而言有五四运动七十周年,新中国成立四十周年;就外国而言则最引人注目的莫过于法国大革命二百周年了。庆祝节日是人类最古老、而又最具象征意义的活动之一,这一可追怀往日、确认传统的合法性,二可寓示今日、再次确认今日的合理性与不合理性,从而为人们今日的行动提供历史的依据。正是从这两方面而言,人们有意无意地看重了节日所表现的历史事件的象征含义,从而也就有意无意地“神化”了历史事件
1989 is an extraordinary year with many observances: for China, the 70th anniversary of the May 4th Movement and the fortieth anniversary of the founding of New China; the most striking aspect of foreign affairs is the French Revolution Bicentennial. Celebrating the festival is one of the oldest and most symbolic activities of mankind. This can catch the past and confirm the legitimacy of the tradition.
