At present, China to assess the satisfaction of a certain population intake of heat and various nutrients, based on the Chinese Nutrition Society revised in October 1988 “recommended daily nutrient supply in the diet” (Recommended Dietary Allowances hereinafter referred to as RDAs) as a benchmark. According to all dietary survey papers, the more standardized language, the criteria for determining the degree of nutrient satisfaction are divided into four levels: adequate, basic satisfaction, lack of, lack of. How to quantify these four levels? First of all, should have a more correct understanding of RDAs, in time for the development of RDAs have a preliminary understanding. The so-called RDAs are not the minimum requirements, nor the optimal intake, so far, it is impossible to formulate a nutrient intake of the best. RDAs are based solely on current safe and adequate levels of nutrient uptake by almost all healthy people, based on the current nutrient and its bioavailability and the individual differences of the population.
