This article reports the cases of spontaneous rupture of alveolar bone caused by orthodontic treatment on both sides. Two young men in their 20s were acutely anguished with a chain rubber band that corrected skew at an initial force of 3.5 OZ (about 90 g). X-ray showed alveolar fracture. After stopping the orthodontic traction, the alveolar bone fracture healed within 10 weeks and the orthodontic treatment could be completed till the completion. The results of this study show that the nutrient tube passes through a thin alveolar septum and that the trabeculae density is lower in the extraction area, the bone marrow cavity and the mandibular joint.
