甘肃省祁连山水源涵养林研究院主要从事干旱半干旱山地水源涵养林研究。研究院在祁连山高中低海拔、山区、浅山区及绿洲荒漠区建立了合理布局的科研试验基地,已建成以森林、湿地、荒漠为主体的生态系统定位研究网络体系和以良种繁育、造林技术、园林规划等应用技术研究和科技开发体系。
