On May 17, 2005, Governor Zhang Zhongwei, Governor of Sichuan Province, chaired a provincial government executive meeting earnestly studying traffic construction in the old revolutionary base areas. The meeting stressed: We must strengthen our deep feelings toward the people in the old revolutionary base areas, strengthen the infrastructure construction in the old areas and promote the coordinated economic and social development in the old areas.
