对机械性眼外伤的治疗,除伤口缝合、异物摘出、抗菌素应用外,机械性损伤所造成的炎症反应、组织破坏是不可忽视的。笔者认为:早期大剂量应用皮质类固醇减少前列腺素、组织胺、5—羟色胺,缓激肽的产生与释放,压抑炎症反应,减少胶体、电解质和细胞等成分渗出,使视细胞受到保护和其功能得以恢复是重要的。对穿通伤合并感染的治疗亦是有益的。并提出是否由皮质类固醇的药理作用使渗出吸收有待进一步研究。
