艺术市场的火爆可谓有目共睹,而“民营美术馆”也应时而生,当我们还在为这些民间资本打造的艺术空间究竟叫“私人美术馆”还是“民营美术馆”嚼字的时候,上河美术馆等一批曾在风口浪尖上试图呼风唤雨的艺术机构已经闭门谢客——资金来源单一、管理非专业化、定位不明确等诸多问题成为制约民营美术馆发展的瓶颈。在北京,炎黄艺术馆、今日美术馆和新开张号称北京最大民营艺术机构的TSI(床庄壹号)的经营一定程度上代表着皇城民营美术馆的走向,面对艺术市场的重重风险和“国营美术馆”的展览资源竞争,我们不禁想问:
