新能源作为传统能源的补充,可有效降低环境污染。中国可再生能源和新能源开发利用虽然起步较晚,但近年来也以年均超过25%的速度增长。中国在新能源和可再生能源的开发利用方面已经取得显著进展,技术水平有了很大提高,产业化已粗具规模。生物质能、核能、地热能、氢能、海洋能等新能源发展潜力巨大,近年来得到较大发展。中国未来新能源发展有以下几个主要趋势:
