1.去中国前,我脑子里有一幅灰图,心想,这个国家是灰色的,像哔叽布那种灰蒙蒙的灰色,地表荒芜不毛,建筑物是泥巴和砖头砌的,也是灰沙一样的颜色。我看过一些主要地方的照片,自然期待的就是那样。事实上,我害怕去中国。通常,我是乐于旅游的,到哪儿都很兴奋——甚至还旅行去了布法罗,可是,我一开始对去中国提不起兴致。你又不好回绝。一想到置身于完全陌生的环境,没有东西能让我动心,我就感到压力很大。
