2000年,湖北省长阳土家族自治县县委、县政府决定在全县进行乡镇机构改革,撤乡并镇。为保证乡镇机构改革顺利进行,县财政局主动配合,抽调得力人员,分成4个小组,对近几年来各乡镇的财政收入质量、财政管理水平、专项经费使用情况、债权债务以及乡镇财政所财务管理状况彻底进行清理检查。通过5个月的辛勤工作,摸清了全县各乡镇的家庭,收集整理的监督检查资料在乡镇机构改革中发挥了重要作用。一是由于及时主动的财政监督检查,使各乡镇都有一个明白账,有效防止了乡镇撤、合的过程中,突击发钱、发物,突
In 2000, the county party committee and government of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County in Hubei Province decided to carry out the reform of town and township authorities in the county and to withdraw the townships and towns.
