Objective To investigate the effect of serum calcium on gestational hypertension and neonatal body weight. Methods A total of 258 singleton women were hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from June 2013 to June 2015. Among them, 112 cases of normal pregnancy were group A, 146 cases of pregnancy induced hypertension were group B, Determination of serum maternal calcium in two groups, and analysis of serum calcium on gestational hypertension and neonatal body weight and serum calcium. Results The level of serum calcium in group B was lower than that in group A, and the birth weight of newborn was lower than that in group A, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Neonatal birth weight and serum calcium was positively correlated (P <0.01). Conclusion The serum calcium level may be related to the occurrence of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy and affects the birth weight of the newborn. Calcium in pregnancy to prevent blood pressure and promote fetal growth and development of great significance.
