日本最近研制成一种近代的光半导体元件“雷纳”。以前电子学技术革新由真空管开始进展到晶体管、二极管,进一步出现了集成线路,但是最近适应信息化工业发展的全固体的光电子学逐渐为人们重视,这第三代半导体“雷纳”就是基于上述的半导体元件基础上出现的。从69年开始日本的一些电子工业公司都先后发表了一些显示装置等方面用的可见光发光元件,但不论那一种都只限于发光、受光和存储作用。
