我所有石头山宜林地2,000多亩。林地土质属砂岩或砾岩。过去,由于没有掌握当地的气候和石头山土质特点,结果年年造林,不见林。1968年在无产阶级文化大革命的推动下,我们认真地总结了过去造林失败的经验教训,根据我县早春有雨,4-5月份和秋后干旱的特点,把过去当年采种,当年(春节前后)育苗,隔年造林的方法,改为隔年采种,秋播(中秋节后)育苗,当年或次年初造林。由于提前造林,使植株在干旱期到来之前,已形成了比较发达的根系,有了一定的抗旱能力,因而能顺利地渡过4、5月和入秋后的高温、干旱季节,造林得到成功。现在2,000多亩石头
