2011年9月19日,第八届茅盾文学奖颁奖典礼在国家大剧院隆重举行。中共中央政治局常委李长春发来贺信,希望广大作家牢记历史使命和社会责任,树立远大的文学理想和艺术追求,争做德艺双馨文学家,为人民提供更好更多的精神食粮。中共中央政治局委员、中央书记处书记、中宣部部长刘云山会见了历届茅盾文学奖获奖作家并与大家合影留念。他希望广大作家不断增强文化自觉和文化自信,不忘本来,吸收外来,面向未来,努力创造社会主义文学新的辉煌。本刊特约获奖作家谈谈他们的创作体会,以飨读者。
September 19, 2011, the eighth Mao Dun Literature Award ceremony was held at the National Grand Theater. Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, sent a congratulatory letter and hoped that the vast majority of writers will keep their historic mission and social responsibility firmly in mind. They should foster ambitious literary ideals and artistic pursuits and strive to become virtuoso-Shuang Xin writers and provide better and more spiritual food to the people. Liu Yunshan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Secretariat, and Minister of the Propaganda Department met with the winning writers of the previous Mao Dun Literature Awards and took a group photo with them. He hoped that the vast number of writers will continuously enhance their cultural awareness and cultural self-confidence, and will never forget to absorb the outside world and face the future so as to create a new glory in socialist literature.
