Since the beginning of mass census of soil in Guangdong Province, the work of soil census has taken place throughout the country. Xinjiang is no exception. At present, Xinjiang is launching a vigorous mass census and identification work. In order to better meet this great task, the fifth issue of this issue has focused on the reports of the soil census, the report of Xinjiang Soil Survey, and the articles on the investigation and argumentation of Xinjiang Salty Soil by the Soviet Union Kefuda Communications. Draw the reader’s attention and discuss. At present, the soil census and identification work in Xinjiang is still going on intensely. To this end, we will focus on the publication of eight articles on this work, provide readers with reference. Soil census marks a great revolution in soil science in China and is the beginning of the creation of soil science in China. It has put forward many crucial and crucial issues and tasks for soil science. For example, it is one of the most prominent and urgent problems to be solved by how to compile the Chinese tillage soil classification system according to how people identify and improve the soil in the current soil census. Of course, it is very clear that soil classification should be based on the principle of “taking the soil as the mainstay, combining the soil and the sea as the earth and going out of the ocean.” However, soil classification is an academic task and requires close integration of scientific knowledge and production practice The arduous work. Therefore, we sincerely hope that readers will continue to hold heated discussions and arguments in the article on soil census and identification published in this issue with their key questions in line with the party’s “one hundred schools of thought” principle. Finally, the more perfect and unified agricultural soil classification system.
