2016年7月23日至9月25日,“余友涵1973—1988作品展”在龙美术馆(西岸馆)第二展厅展出。展出作品依据创作时间和内容题材,共分为五个部分:北方乡村、工艺美校、上海街景、异乡小景、静物写生。从1973年在石家庄李村的写生创作开始,即展现了余友涵在构图及色彩上独到的审美;直至80年代,如1984年创作的《泰安路一弄堂内》,则已经可以看到余友涵在向其抽象风格过渡的线条表现。与同时代宏大叙事的主题性绘画不同,“美”被艺术家以最直观的方式予以展现。余友涵的早期写生创作集中在20世纪70年代至80年代,这些画作是余友涵在艺术创作上的早期尝试,是从风景向抽象转换的过渡作品。从这些作品中,可以看到他早年对凡·高、塞尚、奠奈等国外艺术家创作风格的研习,也可以感受到他在形成自身艺术风格上的探索。在此刊发的《谈谈我的早期习作》,余友涵现身说法,真实地叙述了他早期艺术探索的历程。
From July 23 to September 25, 2016, Yu Yu Han 1973-1988 Works Exhibition was exhibited in the second hall of the Long Art Museum (West Bank Building). Works on display according to the creation time and content theme, is divided into five parts: the northern village, arts and crafts school, Shanghai Street View, a small rural scene, still life. From the beginning of sketching and creation of Li Cun in Shijiazhuang in 1973, Yu Youhan’s unique aesthetic composition and color are exhibited. Until the 1980s, such as “Inside an alley in Taian Road” created in 1984, Yu Youhan’s Its abstract style transitional lines show. Unlike the themed paintings of grand narrative of the same age, “beauty” is presented by the artist in the most intuitive way. Yu Youhan’s early sketches were concentrated in the 1970s and 1980s. These paintings are Yu Youhan’s early attempts at artistic creation and a transition from landscape to abstract. From these works, we can see his early studies on the style of creation of foreign artists such as Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Chennai, as well as his exploration of forming his own artistic style. In his article “Talking about My Early Exercises,” Yu Youhan made his own statement and truly described his early exploration of art.
