成纤维细胞生长因于是细胞重要的有丝分裂原，也是形态发生和分化的诱导因子，由７种结构相关多肽生长因子组成的多基因家族。本文综述了成纤维细胞生长因子的生物学特性以及在正常前列腺、前列腺增生症和前列腺癌中的生物学作用。
Fibroblast growth is therefore a cell-important mitogen and is also a multifactorial family of seven structurally related polypeptide growth factors that are also inducers of morphogenesis and differentiation. This article reviews the biological properties of fibroblast growth factors and their biological roles in normal prostate, benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer.
