应新加坡南洋客属总会儒乐部部长刘再光先生的邀请,我于今年8月21日赴新加坡参加南洋客属总会成立60周年庆祝活动。来自33个国家和地区的客属人士代表400多人欢聚一堂,参加各项庆祝活动。华侨中的客家人是很喜欢客家山歌和广东汉剧、龙岩汉剧的。我在庆祝活动期间,几乎每会必唱。我清唱了汉剧《千里送京娘》《别窑》《百里奚认妻》《断桥》等唱段,很受欢迎。我清唱时,有时用我自备的伴奏录音带伴奏,有时请客总儒乐部的乐队伴奏,他们的伴奏很熟练,和我的清唱配合很好。我的清唱在与会者中引起了强烈的反响。新加坡的《联合早报》在要闻版中,以《客家乡音满城闻》为题报道说:“汉剧是客家人的地方戏曲,悦耳的汉剧清唱,追溯了悠久的中原文化……”许多观众对我说,一听到汉剧和汉剧锣鼓,就把他们带回了家乡,带回了童年。新加坡南洋客属总会儒乐部的业余汉剧团,是目前新加坡唯一还坚持活动的汉剧组织。该团至今还保
