在以ISO/TC60/WG6 6336为依据的GB3480-83《渐开线圆柱齿轮承载能力计算方法》公布的同时,美国也通过了AGMA218.01《渐开线直齿及斜齿圆柱齿轮接触及弯曲承载能力计算方法》。对ISO和AGMA这两个标准,国外有一些比较性的评论,工作做得比较多的首推意大利的G.Castellani等(文章见Trans.ASME,Journal of Mech.Design,1981,和1981年的东京国际齿轮会议论文集),他认为这两个方法都有缺点,从而提出了自己的方法。1984年春,美国威斯康辛大学的A.Seireg教授来华,也对这两个方法作过评价,但无定量的数据。1984年,美国的齿轮权威D.W.Dudley出版了他的新著《Handbook of Practical Gear Design》(实用齿轮设计手册),在附录中比较了这两种计算方法,颇有参考价值,现将其译出供国内同行参考。
