由于海通集洼陷钻井较少，所以以前对该区地层对比的研究也较少。根据对濮深14井等地质资料的再分析，结合重新处理的三维地震资料，并与邻区进行对比和分析，拉通了本区与文西断阶带的地层对比剖面，建立了海通集洼陷标准地层创面，特别是对沙三2段提出更为确切的划分依据，探讨了文9盐在本区的变化规律，为开展其他各项研究工作奠定了基础。
Due to the lack of drilling in the Hai Tongji Sag, previous studies on stratigraphic correlation in this area have also been relatively rare.
