东江水电站位于湖南耒水东江上游,坝址在资兴市境内,水电站装机50万千瓦,年发电量13.2亿千瓦时。水库总库容81.2亿立方米,水面积24万亩,相当于半个洞庭湖,人称“湘南洞庭”。 淹没前库区享有“粮仓、林海、油库、银行”之美称,是全省农村人平收入最高的地区之一。资兴人民为国家电力建设作出了巨大的牺牲与贡献。水库移民安置工作从1978年开始,移民以本市消化为主,进行“少迁多靠”安置,农村移民57852人,除出市安置1300人外,其余全部在市内安置,其中库区后靠占70％。
Dongjiang Hydropower Station is located in the upper reaches of the Dangshui Dongjiang River in Hunan Province. The dam site is within the territory of Zixing. The installed capacity of hydropower stations is 500,000 kilowatts and the annual power generation capacity is 1.32 billion kilowatt hours. Reservoir total storage capacity of 8.12 billion cubic meters, the water area of 240000 acres, equivalent to half a Dongting Lake, known as “Southern Hunan Dongting.” Before the submergence, the reservoir enjoys the reputation of “granary, forest, oil depot and bank”, and is one of the areas with the highest level of rural incomes in the province. Zixing people made great sacrifices and contributions to the national power construction. Since 1978, the resettlers mainly digested the Municipality and relocated them to “relocate less and relocate more”.
