柿子原产我国,除极寒冷地区外,各地都有栽培,尤以湖南、贵州、广东、广西等地较多。 柿子味甜可口,营养丰富。据分析,每500克柿子中含糖分70克,蛋白质6克,脂肪1克,钙50毫克,磷95毫克,维生素C90毫克,还含有胡萝卜素及铁等多种营养物质。 柿子的药用价值很高。据古代医书记载,柿子有健胃、涩肠、治咳、止血的作用。现代医学也认为它有清热、滑肠、降血压、止血的功效。对于高血压、痔疮出血、便秘患者是一种良药。柿子虽然好吃,但不宜多吃,每天只吃三四个为宜。
