我国著名石油地质学家杜博民,原籍贵州大方县.1943年重庆大学地质系毕业后,考入资源委员会玉门油矿矿场地质室,参加嘉峪关外、祁连山麓的找油和矿场地球物理工作.他的《电测之原理与在玉门油矿之应用》报告中,附有一张老君庙“L”油层顶部构造图,其中预测的外围新井油层顶部深度,在以后打井实践中多数都得到证实.1946年,转入中国石油公司甘青分公司探勘处,继续进行石油地质勘查,与司徒愈旺等,完成了玉门老君庙油田的地质图、构造图等.
Dubeimin, a famous petroleum geologist in our country, was originally from Dafang County, Guizhou Province.
