昌圆法师作为出生于四川郫县的高僧,一生致力于护持佛教,戒律精严,忘身殉法,业伟功高。同时,法师还倾力僧俗教育,在四川创办佛学院、佛学社、念佛会等佛教团体百余处,鼎力支持在其住持的金龙寺中办新式学堂,其重道乐善,宽厚大义的助学精神,被誉为“尊佛崇儒”的典范。昌圆法师之一生,群情向往,眷恋依附,法化之隆,为百余年间四川佛教界所少有者。
