In order to explore the role of endothelin (ET) in the central system of viral infectious diseases, 12 cases of central nervous system virus infection in autopsy brain tissue samples were studied by immunocytochemistry. 1 Materials and Methods All specimens from autopsy material 2 to 5 days after death (d). 8 cases of acute herpes simplex encephalitis, 2 cases of progressive multifocal encephalopathy (PML), 2 cases of subacute
