目前国产中型TQ—16数字计算机,配置了两台G—3立式鼓(可扩充到四台)作为外存贮器,其中一台专门用于存放管理程序和编译程序,因此如果使用高级语言编程算题的话,那么至少要为用户提供一个编译鼓,因而此鼓在运行中读出信息出错与否,直接影响计算机能否进行正确计算,因为在计算过程中磁鼓的读出信息出错,计算机立即中断,这时往往导致再从头开始(即从输入源程序开始)。另外对于某些较复杂的题目还需要提供一个可随机读写的工作鼓,以弥补内存容量的不足,因为要随机读写故对它的要求比对编译鼓的要求高。因此读出信息的稳定性,便具有非常重要的意义。
