人参芦是五加科植物人参(Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer)的根茎。在人参根茎(芦)上生出豹根,植物学称之为不定根,中医俗称之为“艼”。无论是人参主根还是不定根或须根,均以与人参相同的疗效而应用于临床。如:皮尾和白参艼,就是全部采用不定根加工制成的。不定根是从根茎(芦)上生长出来的,主根之上生有根茎,同是人参地下部分,唯有人参芦作为涌吐药,不能不使人产生怀疑。可是中医历来认为人参芦“不去者吐人”查历代本草,
Ginseng is the rhizome of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer. Ginseng roots (Lu) produce a leopard root, botany call it an adventitious root, Chinese medicine commonly known as “Sui.” No matter whether it is the main root of ginseng or the adventitious root or fibrous root, it is applied to the clinic with the same curative effect as ginseng. Such as: skin tail and white ginseng, which is all made of adventitious root processing. The adventitious roots grow from rhizomes (Lu), which have rhizomes on top of the roots. They are also the underground part of ginseng, and only people who take ginseng as a spit medicine can not but make people suspect. However, traditional Chinese medicine has always considered ginseng as “not to vomit people” to check ancient herbal medicine.
