陕西历史博物馆位于西安市大雁塔西北侧,始创于1944年,新馆于1991年6月20日落成开放,是一座历史艺术类综合性博物馆,也是我国第一座大型现代化博物馆。馆区占地面积65000平方米,建筑面积55600平方米,文物库房面积8000平方米,展厅面积11000平方米。馆藏文物37万余件,上至远古时期蓝田猿人使用的打制石器,下至1840年前社会生活的各类器物,时间跨度长达一百多万年。不但数量众多,种类齐全,而且品位高,价值广,尤其以周、秦、汉、唐时期的文物最为精彩,最具地域特色,也最具代表性。其中青铜器3700多件,铜镜1000多面,陶瓷器18000多件,金银器1700多件,陶俑2000多件,壁画1000多平方米。这些馆藏文物基本反映了陕西出土和传世文物的概貌,是陕西馆藏文物的集中代表。1996年,国家文物局组织的专家组对陕西历史博物馆文物进行评鉴、定级,共有762件(组)被评定为一级文物,其中18件(组)被评定为国宝级文物,居全国博物馆前列。这批国宝文物涵盖了古代壁画、金银器、青铜器、陶瓷器、玉器等各大类别,并以其珍贵而独有的历史、科学、艺术价值而蜚声海内外,堪称镇馆之宝。
Founded in 1944, Shaanxi History Museum is located in the northwest of Dayan Tower in Xi’an. The new museum was opened on June 20, 1991. It is a comprehensive museum of history and art and the first large-scale modern museum in China. Museum covers an area of 65,000 square meters, construction area of 55,600 square meters, cultural relics warehouse area of 8,000 square meters, exhibition area of 11,000 square meters. There are more than 370,000 pieces of cultural relics, ranging from the ancient stone carvings used by Lantian ape-men in ancient times to various kinds of artifacts of social life until 1840, spanning over one million years. Not only a large number, variety, but also high grade, wide value, especially in the week, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties artifacts the most exciting, most geographical features, but also the most representative. Bronze more than 3700 pieces, more than 1,000 bronze mirror surface, more than 18,000 pieces of porcelain, more than 1,700 pieces of gold and silver, more than 2,000 pieces of pottery figurines, murals more than 1,000 square meters. These collections of cultural relics basically reflect the profiles of the unearthed and handed down relics in Shaanxi and are the concentrated representatives of the cultural relics in Shaanxi. In 1996, a group of experts organized by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage appraised and graded the cultural relics of Shaanxi History Museum. A total of 762 pieces (groups) were appraised as Class I relics, among which 18 pieces (groups) were appraised as national treasures, Museum forefront. These national treasures covering the ancient frescoes, gold and silver, bronze, pottery, jade and other major categories, and its precious and unique history, science, art value and renowned at home and abroad, called the treasures of the town.
