近阅明释如愚的《空华集》(重庆市图书馆藏),得公安袁宏道《空华集序》一文。检钱伯城先生之《袁宏道集笺校》,所列宏道明清两代诸家刊刻本均未收录。如愚俗家袁姓,字蕴璞,江夏人,少为书生,后祝发为僧。先居衡山之石头菴,号石头和尚,亦称石霜山僧,后居金陵之碧峰寺,从诗僧洪恩学。周汝登、曹学佺、袁宗道兄弟皆与之游。《列朝诗集小传》、《江夏县志》有传。《四库全书总目》之别集类存目七,列有其所著之《空华集》。《提要》云:“是集凡四种。初曰空华集,诗二 In the past read out as silly ”empty China set“ (Chongqing library collection), the public security Yuan Hongdao ”empty set“ article.
