建国以来,特别是改革开放以来,首都中小学校长培训工作取得了许多显著的成就。这些成绩的取得与北京教育学院的发展息息相关。北京教育学院是首都校长和教师的专业培训机构,1994年与北京教育行政学院合并,2000年与北京成人教育学院和北京实验大学合并,学院的办学条件得到了改善,师资力量和科研实力得到了加强,这些都为北京教育学院职能的发挥奠定了基础。
