福建省农科院红萍研究中心科技人员,应用扫描电子显微镜观察到红萍——鱼腥藻共生体存在着第三种生命形态——细菌.这些细菌在红萍的整个生命周期都与宿主紧密结合.红萍、鱼腥藻、细菌这三者在进化史上相距亿万年,结构和功能完全不同的生命形式却能和谐共处,确有奇妙之处.进一步揭开萍、藻、菌三者关系的内幕,将把共生固氮机制的研究引向深入.
