Various test methods for evaluating male fertility have been increasingly updated. In the past, the semen routinely used in the clinic, the low-swelling sperm-swelling test (HOS), and the cervical mucus penetration test to evaluate male fertility have been unsatisfactory in accuracy and reliability. In 1976, Yanagimachi succeeded in using human sperm to penetrate the zona pellucida with golden hamster eggs. Domestic and foreign researchers reported the methods of using HOP technology to detect human spermatozoa fertility.
