近年来,中国电影呈现良好发展态势,但在对外传播过程中,诸多问题也相继出现,电影片名英译便是其中之一。由于系统理论指导的缺乏以及翻译策略的僵化,中国电影片名的英译质量参差不齐,一定程度上影响了中国电影海外市场的开拓。因此对该问题的探究显得极为重要。本文以目的论为指导,结合具体案例,探索中国电影片名英译的两大标准:文化价值标准和商业价值标准;并对中国电影片名本身进行了归类整理,提出相应的翻译策略,具有一定的可操作性和实用价值。
In recent years, the Chinese movie has shown a good momentum of development. However, during the process of its dissemination, many problems have emerged one after another. Due to the lack of systematic theoretical guidance and the rigid translation strategy, the quality of the English translation of Chinese film titles is uneven and to a certain extent affected the development of overseas markets for Chinese films. Therefore, the exploration of this issue is extremely important. This article, based on the theory of teleology, explores two major criteria for the English translation of the titles of Chinese movie titles: cultural value standard and commercial value standard, combining with specific cases, classifying and arranging the titles of Chinese movie titles themselves, presenting corresponding translation strategies, Has a certain degree of maneuverability and practical value.
